Behind the Scenes: How We Approach Growth Campaigns at BoostBC

Most growth campaigns don’t fail because of bad ads they fail because the thinking behind them is shallow.

Strategy: Start Where Others Skip

Before we touch ad platforms or creative, we map intent. Not just demographics, but why someone would act.

For example, a home services client might assume their audience is “homeowners aged 30–55.” That’s surface-level. We go deeper: Is the urgency driven by a breakdown (reactive) or an upgrade (aspirational)? Those are two completely different campaigns.

We also look at who that ideal client is outside of the purchase itself ; what content they consume, what platforms they spend time on, and what influences their decisions. Are they listening to business podcasts during their commute, watching renovation content on YouTube, scrolling local Facebook groups, or saving inspiration from Instagram and TikTok? Understanding media habits helps shape not only where ads appear, but how the messaging is framed so it feels native to their world.

In one case, we split campaigns between “emergency fix” messaging and “planned improvement” messaging. Same service, different mindset. The result wasn’t just higher click-through it was more qualified leads and fewer wasted calls.

Creative

Creative: Build for Decisions, Not Just Attention

Creative isn’t about looking good it’s about reducing hesitation.

Instead of generic headlines like “Quality You Can Trust,” we test specifics:

  • “Book Today, Installed in 48 Hours”

  • “See Pricing Before You Commit”

One campaign for a local retailer struggled with high traffic but low conversions. The issue wasn’t reach, it was uncertainty. We introduced a simple video showing the purchase process step-by-step. No flashy edits, just clarity.

Conversions improved because people understood what would happen next.

Optimization
Optimization

Optimization: Cut What Doesn’t Earn Its Place

Optimization isn’t tweaking it’s removing friction and doubling down on what works.

We track beyond surface metrics. A campaign might have a strong CTR but weak downstream performance. That tells us curiosity is high, but alignment is off.

In one scenario, we noticed a top-performing ad driving traffic that rarely converted. Instead of scaling it, we paused it and reallocated budget to a “boring” ad with lower clicks but higher conversion rates.

Growth came from restraint, not expansion.

Decisions over Noise
Decisions over Noise

The Throughline: Decisions Over Noise

At every stages strategy, creative, optimization the goal is the same: make it easier for the right person to say yes.

No gimmicks. No overpromising. Just structured thinking applied consistently.

Because real growth doesn’t come from doing more it comes from doing what matters, better.
