Straume Equipment Repair, No Matter Where, He's Got Your Back | BoostBC Local Spotlight

Liam travels all across the Okanagan and beyond, working in places like Saskatchewan, Ontario and Nunavut, offering clients long lasting solutions with the repair jobs he completes. He fixes all number of things both big and small, working on local wineries and farms. He has done majority of his work in the last few years in the oil fields and coal, diamond and gold mines around Canada.

"Having the opportunity to see different parts of the country while working has been incredible."

Having been fortunate enough to have worked on all kinds of different equipment and welding projects, Liam has plenty of experience to offer. He tries to come up with creative, out of the box solutions for many different complex breaks.

"Sometimes equipment can break or crack in interesting ways so coming up

with solutions requires some creative thinking. Having the work experience that I do has allowed me to be able to provide solutions and repairs that go beyond just the textbook definition of fixed."

Liam started his business after working with his Grandfather, Peter Straume, Who was also a business owner. Seeing first hand the benefits of self employment and of your own hard work paying off in real time was inspiring.

"He was the inspiration for my company name, Straume Equipment Repair."

Though Liam is willing to travel anyway the work takes him, he is working to grow a more local customer base in hopes of supporting the local market, as well as other local businesses within the Okanagan.

"I am incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work locally, and supporting small businesses and family run operations is always a priority."
