Honouring Remembrance Day: A Moment to Pause, Reflect, and Remember

November 11 is more than just a date on the calendar. It’s a day to reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans, service members, and their families—past and present—who have shaped the freedoms we enjoy today. Across Canada, and especially here in British Columbia, this is a time to pause and honour those who gave everything so we could live in peace.
Why Remembrance Matters
Behind every poppy is a story. A story of courage, resilience, loss, and love. At ceremonies in small towns and cities across the country, we gather not only to remember the fallen, but to recommit ourselves to values that matter: honour, service, community, and peace.
These values are not only central to Remembrance Day—they're also the foundation of how we operate at BoostBC. We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up for one another, that doesn’t forget its roots, and that continues to build a future worth fighting for.

At 11:00 AM, we encourage everyone—ourselves included—to take a moment of silence. Whether you’re attending a ceremony, wearing a poppy, or simply pausing in your day, know that every act of remembrance counts. Together, we hold space for those who can no longer be with us, and for the freedoms they fought to protect.
