City of Kelowna Business Security Enhancement Rebate Program - Have You Heard? | BoostBC

Crime rates on Kelowna streets continues to increase, especially property damage to local businesses. This has led to decreased foot traffic and higher expenses to keep these store fronts open and welcoming to customers in the area. Security improvements are expensive, and can be unattainable to a small business, that is where the Business Security Enhancement Rebate Program comes in.
What is the Business Security Enhancement Rebate Program? It's a financial support program the City of Kelowna is offering to local businesses to help enhance the security of their properties. The program aims to support crime-prevention improvements and revitalize our streets.

Improvements that will be eligible for the rebate include:
Security enhancements to windows, doors and locks
Security cameras (minimum 1080p and exterior facing)
Security film, bars, gates, shutters, bollards
Enhanced security lighting
Façade improvements that activate public space or support crime‑prevention
In order to apply, eligible candidates need to Request a no-cost CPTED assessment from the Community Safety Services Branch, complete the recommended improvements, Submit your application, receipts, and completion photos. Upon approval, you will receive the reimbursement.
Who is eligible to apply?
